THERE'S JUST
So much to do
FROM GOBLINTOWN CREEK TO BULL MOUNTAIN
Outdoor opportunities abound — from hiking to biking to horsing around, you'll find it all in the greater Goblintown Creek area.
FAIRY STONE STATE PARK
Home of the legendary fairy stones, this park is well known for its 168-acre lake. Attractions include cabins, a campground, group camping, an equestrian campground, a conference center, hiking trails, lake swimming, rowboats, canoes, paddleboats, kayaks, picnicking and two playgrounds.
MARTINSVILLE SPEEDWAY
The track is often referred to as paper clip-shaped and is banked only 12° in the turns. The combination of long straightaways and flat, narrow turns makes hard braking going into turns and smooth acceleration exiting turns a must.
LOVER'S LEAP
Legend has it that the son of a settler saw the twinkle in the eyes of a chief's daughter, Morning Flower, and was immediately love-struck. The couple began to meet secretly and their love continued to grow. The young man and maiden were threatened and shunned for wanting to be together. With the beautiful rock and wildflowers as their backdrop, they jumped into the wild blue yonder ensuring they would be together forever.
TREE CLIMBING
Practically all of us climbed trees as kids. There was something up there that whispered: “Come on up”. We simply could not resist that call. The trees are still calling, you just have to get close, get quiet and listen. The trees and I invite you to “Come on up, Again!”
